The Cluster Andalucía Smart City participated at the end of February in a meeting of vice-governors held at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow, which addressed, among other issues, the creation of innovation ecosystems.

The meeting was attended by approximately 30 regions of Russia and was attended by the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Arkady Dvorkovich and the President of the Skolkovo Foundation, Victor Vekselberg.

The Russian innovation center invited the Cluster to participate in a panel of international experts in the effective creation of innovation ecosystems, a theme addressed by the Cluster director, Daniel González Bootello, together with Hardy-Rudolf Schmitz, former chief executive of the technology park of Adlershof in Berlin, and Herbert Chen, executive vice president of Tus-Holdings Co.

Throughout their participation, the experts addressed the different stereotypes in the creation of innovation ecosystems, the main factors that influence the process or the role they play as catalysts in the development of the regional economy.

The director of the Cluster, Daniel González Bootello, presented attendees the Andalucía Smart City model, its main lines of work and its contribution to the development of innovative ecosystems around smart cities.

González Bootello explained to the attendees the creation of working groups that has been carried out among the members of the Cluster, which divides the different companies and organizations into nine groups according to the sector or area in which their products or services are fitted to address More efficient way to implement a smart city model.
