Endesa host of the assembly meeting of the Smart City Cluster

This meeting, which is held annually, has had the participation of the general director of Endesa Andalucía y Extremadura and the territorial director of Institutional Relations, which has moved the Company’s projects on energy transition and digitalization in cities.

After the meeting of the Smart City Cluster Board of Directors held on June 4, Endesa headquarters in Seville once again hosts the General Assembly of associates, with a representation of more of 121 companies and institutions that work for the development of smart cities, understood as efficient, sustainable and comfortable.

Attendees at the cluster meeting, with its president Mariano Barroso at the helm, have met, by the general director of Endesa Andalucía y Extremadura, Francisco Arteaga, and the director of Institutional Relations of Endesa Andalucía y Extremadura, Rafael Sánchez, the company’s new projects on energy transition and digitalization in cities, challenges framed in the energy and climate objectives set by the European Union, in the Climate and Sustainable Energy Action Plan, in the 2030 Strategic Plan and in the United Nations Sustainable Urban Development Goals.

With the experience acquired during the 10 years of existence of the Smart City Living Lab of Malaga, a real laboratory led by Endesa to develop measures of efficiency, energy savings and active management of the demand of individuals, buildings and large customers – with projects and research as PASTORA, of intelligent networks; Zem2All, of electric mobility, or Flexiciency, Flexibility applied to the management of the infrastructures and assets of the electrical system and to the products and services oriented to the user- Endesa aims to promote the development of efficient, sustainable and healthy urban environments, thus demonstrating the challenges that They will have to face the cities of the future.
