This edition of the event returns to the virtual format to give a voice to companies with a strong innovative component and a clear national and international projection. During the meeting, the companies presented their lines of work, shared success stories and highlighted their interest in generating synergies with other Smart City Cluster partners.
Argos, based in Badalona, is an engineering company specialising in the development of customised hardware and software. Its solutions include a patented smart locking system for waste containers, which optimises routes and reduces the carbon footprint, as well as an automatic fire extinguishing system with multiple urban applications. They are also working on projects such as smart bus stops with public safety functions and devices for breathalyser control in industrial vehicles.
Biyiud, a Barcelona-based startup, presented its digital platform to promote clean energy consumption and decarbonisation through citizen incentives. Its proposal connects responsible energy use with rewards that can be used in local commerce. With an approach based on data and traceability, Biyiud seeks to collaborate with municipalities and companies committed to energy transition and eco-reputation.
From the Valencian Community, Kalmas shared its experience as a tourism consultant specialising in sustainability. With more than 19 years of experience, its team works with public administrations and companies in the definition of sustainable strategies, the calculation of carbon and water footprints and technical advice for obtaining European funds. Kalmas is looking for technological allies to enrich decision-making in tourist destinations.
Finally, Materia Naranja presented itself as a strategic consultancy that helps organisations and territories to think differently. With an approach focused on simplifying complexity and generating relevant solutions, they work in co-creation with multiple actors to develop realistic roadmaps and innovative indicators. His intervention highlighted the importance of structuring knowledge to make effective decisions in dynamic contexts.
In addition to access to the full recording of the meeting, Smart City Cluster will be publishing the individual presentations of each participating entity on its YouTube channel. The next editions of Get to know your Cluster Live are already being prepared, open not only to the recently incorporated entities, but also to those that wish to update the knowledge that the rest of the association has about their activity. These new sessions will be progressively incorporated as part of the monthly calendar of Smart City Cluster.
