The Smart City Cluster shows the way to more sustainable cities at the Climate Summit
He notes at COP25 how business cooperation makes cities a key to the fight against climate change

The Smart City Cluster has participated as a guest speaker at the COP25 Climate Summit, held in Madrid, in the framework of a session focused on the analysis of the role of business cooperation as a growth factor for the industry sustainable to achieve a drastic reduction of pollution on Earth.
The meeting, headed by the person in charge of Policies of the General Directorate of Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs of the European Commission, Eva Revilla, has served to know the new policy of decarbonization of the economy that will be promoted by the executive of the European Union. In this sense, Revilla has remarked that «clusters are the engine of innovation in Europe.»
The event was attended by the Deputy Director General of Industry and SMEs of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of Spain, Jordi Llinares, and the president of the National Cluster Federation, Antonio Novo, in whose Board of Directors the Smart Cluster City participates as secretary.
In the working session, the application of European directives to the national cluster policy has been analyzed. The Ministry has highlighted its interest in strengthening the aid program for them with a larger budget in 2020.
At the end of the day, the Smart Cities Cluster has explained how business cooperation, through the application of smart city solutions, helps to reduce the impact of cities on the environment and, therefore, increase quality of life of its inhabitants. The Catalan Water Partnership, the Aragón Energy Cluster and the Extremadura Electric Mobility Cluster have completed the meeting panel.
