The Smart City Cluster and the Dos Hermanas Town Hall will boost the smart city in the municipality

The Dos Hermanas City Council (Seville) and the Smart City Cluster have signed a collaboration agreement this morning to promote actions in the city that allow the municipality to advance in its development as an intelligent city, understood as more efficient, sustainable and comfortable for citizens.

The agreement, signed by the deputy mayor and delegate of Economic Promotion and Innovation of Dos Hermanas, Carmen Gil, and the president of the Smart City Cluster, Mariano Barroso, contemplates the analysis and detection of needs in the field of urban development to provide solutions , through collaboration with Andalusian companies and universities, in the fields of mobility, energy efficiency, the environment and citizen management platforms.

Likewise, the agreement includes the impulse to innovation in products, processes and services associated with smart urban infrastructures, the strengthening of bidirectional communication between the city council and citizens, the implementation of pilot projects of new technologies and smart processes. city, the revaluation of the natural and cultural attractions of the city through technological solutions and the promotion of training activities and organization of events related to intelligent urban infrastructures, among other aspects.

As Carmen Gil explained, “this collaboration agreement will give more confidence to the processes already started in the matter of smart cities in our city and will position us in a preferential starting point in the face of the new challenges and opportunities that will be presented to us in the new program Marco 2021-2027. ”
Por su parte, Mariano Barroso ha subrayado que “a través del clúster iniciamos una estrecha colaboración con el Ayuntamiento de  Dos Hermanas para poner a su disposición todo el conocimiento tecnológico y las innovaciones en  desarrollo urbano con que cuentan las compañías y entidades andaluzas que trabajan en el campo de la smart city.”
The president of the cluster has also highlighted the generating effect of the business fabric, job creation and social cohesion that is associated with the implementation of the smart city solutions.
