Since 2016, the barcelona city council opted for a new centralized control service for its public lighting. This control is based on monitoring and supervision through a platform in which all aspects related to energy and maintenance of it are integrated. Since the year 2018, this service is managed by letter ingenieros and bettergy as winners providing their classification by experience, in a 2 + 2 year extension contract, intending to manage this service in barcelona until 2022.

With this project it is intended to go a step further and adapt the urban lighting of the city today, optimizing energy consumption and improving the quality of public spaces, always taking into account the regulatory framework on energy efficiency.
