RichWater

The richwater project aims to validate and market a water reuse treatment technology. It is a very promising method to save water and fertilizers in agriculture through the treatment of municipal wastewater for later reuse in irrigation.

The system is designed to optimize the presence of nutrients in the effluent.

In this way, large water treatment operators can offer a new product (recycled water for nutrient-rich and pathogen-free irrigation) to their potential customers, farmers and irrigation communities, creating a new source of revenue for operators.

The core of richwater technology is a low energy membrane bioreactor (mbr) that produces a high-quality effluent, ensuring compliance with the strict legal requirements required for reuse. Therefore, richwater is an efficient solution to water scarcity problems, a growing concern in the eu.
