The system installed in the historical area of the city of León, serves a good part of the Humid Neighborhood, where most of the city’s bars and restaurants are concentrated.

Its beautiful and intricate streets show us the difficulties that the trucks would have to collect the waste before the implantation of the pneumatic system. This area is connected to the collection center located in what used to be on the outskirts of the city, through José Aguado Street.

Years later, the new urban development of La Lastra was built and the City Council decided to connect the new neighbourhood to the system, taking advantage of the fact that the plant had enough capacity to collect both areas. Last year, its 185 valves collected an average of 71.19 tons of rest and 7.21 tons of containers per month.
