Malaga’s town hall
In 2004, the city of Malaga began using technology developed by GECOR so that the Traffic Area technicians could report the incidents in the city’s infrastructure, as well as its resolution. This system allowed the automatic GPS location and attach photographs of the status of the incident, something very new for the time. Since then, the different City Hall Areas have been joining, as well as the 11 districts of the city to use this tool. Currently, GECOR is used by almost 1000 municipal technicians and all areas related to public road infrastructure. In 2012, the App “Malaga Works” was developed, thus opening the management of incidents to the citizens of the city, allowing them to register and track the incidents from their mobile phone. At present, among citizens and municipal technicians, an average of 80,000 notices per year are registered in Malaga.
