Detection, analysis and reduction of consumption after hours of operation with SMAC
The incorporation of the tool allowed to verify the high consumption that occurred in the installation during the weekends, in hours at which the building is practically unoccupied. This situation is due to the demand for the centralized air conditioning installation, which is put into operation to cover the needs of a very small area.
The use of the tool has allowed us to know the situation, assess the economic cost involved (approximately € 2,500 / year) and evaluate the possibility of installing independent air conditioning equipment for the area that is occupied during weekends. The modification of the air conditioning system will be carried out when the investment is amortized in a period of less than 1 year.
