This project addresses the development, implementation, validation and integration of a decision support system (DSS) as a basis for more efficient water cycle management, allowing integrated management of hydraulic basins, reducing the high investment that is currently necessary for the implementation of existing technologies.

This project focuses on the implementation and evaluation of a demonstrator, which simulates the hydrographic characteristics of the Malaga basin, agglutinating the typical variables of many similar basins in Europe, so it will contemplate a high number of cases and will be based on DSS technologies cutting edge in different areas: flood control (including optimization of dam management), water quality, energy production and consumption. Feedback from end users will drive the improvement of the DSS and the development and validation of a software platform that facilitate the integration of existing and future DSS.
