Description and Objectives:

Starting from the need to raise awareness among all the agents in the value chain of municipal markets, as was raised in the innovation project “Smart Market – Sustainable and efficient markets integrated in Smart cities” executed in the 2015 annuity , it is necessary to adapt them to the current socio-demographic and economic situation, shopping habits and the changes that cities are experiencing.

In this second phase of the same, it is intended to conduct a pilot test of the innovations and new services that stood out in this project. In this sense, we will have an impact on: higher levels of energy efficiency, modernity of the markets, implementing systems and tools of information and communication technologies (ICT) as well as the expansion of the sales channels of merchants through the e-commerce platform “M of supplies” and its impact and level of replicability in other markets of supplies.

Results

Start-up of a pilot in the municipal market of Bailen in the province of Malaga addressing the following milestones:

• · Training and training of merchants so they can interact and work with the online shopping tool
• · Characterization of a plan for the preparation, conservation and delivery / collection of orders.
• · Implementation of ICT solutions within the supply market.

As more immediate results of the pilot have been achieved:

• · Expand sales channels through the E-Commerce platform.
• · Enhance the interaction between merchants and customers through an App.
