The Cluster Andalusia Smart City has participated between October 20 and 22 in ICT 2015, the largest event in the European ICT sector held at the Lisbon Congress Center.
Andalucía Smart City has presented in this event the model developed by the Cluster, which brings together 120 companies, public entities and universities for the implementation of smart cities and the generation of business opportunities around this sector.
Specifically, this event also promotes the formation of international consortiums in Horizonte2020 proposals, which reinforces the possibilities of companies to access this type of funds.
Around 5,000 people related to the ICT sector from all over Europe have met in the Portuguese capital where they have had the opportunity to hold meetings and meetings, as well as the possibility of generating opportunities for cooperation.
The objective of the participation of Andalusia Smart City in this event has been to publicize both the work developed by the Cluster and by the associated companies in the implementation of an intelligent city model, in order to generate cooperation with other entities and expand business opportunities in Europe.
In this regard, the Cluster has established contacts with companies in Norway and Belgium, with the IrRADIARE Technological Center in Portugal and the Imaginove contents cluster in France, with which it will study possible lines of collaboration in European projects.
Within the framework of this event, the presentation of the new policies and initiatives of the European Commission in the field of R & D within the ICT sector took place, which will prioritize employment, growth, investment or competitiveness, among other lines.
The event was attended and attended by the European Commissioners of Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas, and Digital Economy and Society, Günther Oettinger.
